Dear John (skipper)

On behalf of my new wife and I, we would like to thank you for a wonderful Honeymoon evening with Sail 'n' Dine. It was a very tranquil and romantic setting watching the sunset, with such fantastic views over the lake. It was the perfect location to be wined and dined aboard Maddie Too. With such tasteful menu options your cuisine was second to none. Once again thankyou for your hospitality and we look forward to our next Sail 'n' Dine.

Regards
Mark and Paula Whalley

Of course, if you have the money, you could own your own yacht on Windermere and, like so many other owners, become a jetty-based sailor and visit it twice or three times a year!

Alternatively, you can visit beautiful Bowness, meet up with your superb host, John Haworth, board his luxury yacht and be treated to four hours of sailing and eating for a fraction of the cost and get much more enjoyment to boot!

That’s exactly what my family and myself did on a Saturday evening in late spring 2008.

We met Captain John at the Ship in Bowness and were led the few yards to the marina where we boarded his beautiful yacht. Once out in the middle of Windermere, we cut the engine and set sail. Oh! The peace!

There is nowhere on earth quite like the peace of Windermere on a balmy evening under sail.

We chatted and enjoyed a glass of wine (or two!) before mooring in a secluded part of this vast stretch of water, whereupon Captain John becomes chef and host John and cooks up a superb meal with some very good wines and we enjoy the convivial atmosphere of dining aboard a luxury yacht without the tedium of having to wash up and sail ourselves back.

A splendid evening and four hours of your life has gone as if a mere few minutes! – but what enjoyment.

We will certainly be going back.

It’s like having your own yacht but with no strings (or ropes) attached (if you will pardon the pun!)

Well done John, God Bless you and all who sail in your lovely vessel!
